What can you expect from us?
The moment you arrive in the Netherlands, your mentor will be there to pick you up and bring you to your home. You will find your phone and your car already there, as well as information about your new hometown.
In order to register as a nurse in the Netherlands you need to obtain a B1 level (or higher) Dutch Language Certificate (intermediate level in the CEFR – Common European Framework of Reference). Therefore, you will start a language course, which will take about three months, as soon as you arrive.
The first two months you will focus solely on learning the language. From the third month onwards you will combine the language course with a nursing-related internship. An exam will be taken at the end of the course. If the results are sufficient, you will be registered in the Dutch BIG register (The Dutch register in which all healthcare professionals that work directly with patients are entered). This is when you can legitimately start your career as a nurse in The Netherlands.
In the next year and a half you will learn all about the Dutch healthcare system. During this training period your salary will grow from € 1500,- to € 2200,- (net pay).
